The Salvation Army in Bangor offers a food pantry to the community. Because of the tough economic times, we are responding to an increased number of requests for services as people struggle to meet obligations like paying rent while also keeping food on the table for their families. We desire to serve the community as best we can. By offering food, we are meeting one of the most basic needs for those needing a little help to get by.

The pantry is available to those in need Monday-Friday from 9am-1pm. Clients need to live within our service area of Greater Bangor communities which include Bangor, Brewer, Exeter, Glendburn, Hermon, Kenduskeag, Levant, Orrington, Veazie.

For questions please contact Diana Horton: or by phone at 941-2990.

The food pantry is another opportunity for our volunteers to get involved with us. We pack all of our food and organize the pantry every Friday. If you would like to be involved, give us a call or send an email, and we would be happy to get you or your group going.
