Hooksett, New Hampshire – The annual Hooksett Service Unit of The Salvation Army Back to School Clothes Shopping program took place at the Hooksett Target.  Each child received $150.00 certificate to shop.  The 45 children participating were identified by the Hooksett Family Service Office.

The funds for this program were generated from our friends and neighbors who so generously contributed to The Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign last November and December. The children were chaperoned by Hooksett community volunteers as they shopped for new clothes and shoes so that they may have a positive start to their upcoming school year.

The School Supply portion of the program was open to all Hooksett children in need of a little help to start school.  School Supplies were distributed at Hooksett Town Hall and donated by many incredibly generous community businesses and civic organizations.  Community volunteers also helped with the school supply distribution.

The Salvation Army is grateful to Mary Farwell, Salvation Army Volunteer and all involved in making this annual Back to School program such a success.
