The annual Coats & Toys for Kids Day took place on Saturday, December 1st at various Hannaford and Shaw's locations. News Center Maine on air talent invited viewers to stop by and bring a new or gently used coat and a new unwrapped toy.

It was a successful day resulting in 4,500 coats and 5,000 toys donated. Plus $2,000 in cash.

This is a cooperative effort of News Center Maine, Shaw's and Hannaford Supermarkets, Pepsi, Springer’s Jewelers and Pratt Abbott Cleaners.
