Derry, New Hampshire Summer Feeding Program

Derry, NH – The Salvation Army’s Summer Mobile Feeding program will be out in the community starting on June 21st!  This day will be our Summer Feeding Program Kick Off! We will be joined by Kona Ice, who will serve free flavored ice.

Derry Salvation Army Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Katie Mayes states, “The program was implemented in 2010 to address a need of food insecurities in the summer months when many children may have to go without otherwise. We have in these last few years found that the need is much greater than just the youth and we are willing to serve anyone who is hungry.”

Last year, the program served 1,612 meals an increase of approximately 600 meals over the previous summer.

Free daily meals are available to ANYONE at the following locations:

  • Every Tuesday Starting June 21st – August 23rd at The Fairway Apartments (near the pool).
  • Every Thursday Starting June 23rd – August 25th at Hood Pond.

The free lunch will run from 12-1 on these days.

Important note: You do not have to live in the area to receive a free lunch!!!
